当我的系统安装完了Turbo linux 10 desktop 时，启动当一切OK之后就快要进入图形界面的时候出现了这个古怪的问题要就是

我按上面的操作之后出现了这种的情况就是能以ROOT 的身份进入系统哟。而是以文本的方式进入。而不是以图形的方式进入哟。这是为什么呢？我以ROOT 的身份进入之后就操作一下了vi /etc/inittab
之后呢？发现里面是5{id:5:initdefault:}而不是3哟。按常理是是以图形界而的方式进入的。怎么会以文本模式进入的。请高手指教。我应该怎么办才能以图形的方式进入我的系统呢？？？？？？？？

试试xf86config命令,若没有可以修改/etc/X11/XF86config文件来配置X
或者setup。

setting the run level to 5 just causes your system starting X GUI automatically for you everytime you boot up the system. But that should be with a precondition that you have configured your X server correctly. Generally speaking, you can configure your X server with xf86config or xf86cfg, the former one works under text mode by answering questions one by one in this case you have to start over if you have given a wrong answer and would like to change it, and the latter one works under GUI mode (600x480) in this case you can change your choice much easier. You also can use commands system provides which depends on what distribute of linux you are using. So be aware of what kind of hardware, particularly the graphic card, in your PC box.
after you work out the X server configuration, try %26quot;startx%26quot; and if it works, reboot then the system will run into a GUI for you. enjoy.
